I'm Selling My Vancouver RV

This is my third RV. Maybe the last one, but maybe not.

I once had high hopes that this fifth wheel would accompany us through the long years of retirement ahead. I imagined that when life slowed down, we'd head for the mountains and the sea, making our home wherever we stopped, staying as long as we liked, living freely.

But life has too many unexpected twists and helpless turns. My husband's spinal stenosis has gradually begun to affect his daily life. The dream of a nomadic RV lifestyle—crossing mountains and travelling long distances—has ultimately become an unattainable luxury.

After much thought, I've decided to learn the art of letting go. This RV is the first thing I'm parting with. In the future, I'll likely continue to clear away the excess burdens at home, lightening the load on our lives and freeing our minds.

The moment I first saw it, I was captivated. Its vintage, warm wood interior matched the style of our home perfectly. I fell in love at first sight, and no other RV has ever caught my eye since.

It was never just a vehicle for travel and living. It was more like a complete, refined mobile home: a well-organized kitchen with an island, a full set of kitchen appliances, a warm fireplace, a bright and open living room, a dual-TV layout, a comfortable king-size bedroom, and a spacious, airy bathroom... Every detail once filled me with joy.

I've owned it for a full three years. Yet the number of times I've actually taken it out on the road is few and far between. At first, it was the demands of everyday life that kept me from heading out to distant places; Now, it's physical limitations that have held me back. For these three years, it has sat quietly in my yard, accompanying the blooming and fading of flowers, watching the seasons change.

Spring in Vancouver is now in full bloom, and the sunshine is perfect. This should be the ideal time to pack up and hit the road, yet I'm saying goodbye to my beloved RV.

May the next owner appreciate all its refinement and value, Take it along the long roads we never got to travel, See the countless landscapes we never got to reach, And may the journey be warm and bright all the way.
