Before coming to Canada, I worked at a multinational enterprise for ten years, serving as a Planning Manager at a Fortune 500 company. I applied for skilled immigration in my 30s, and my family and I relocated to the Greater Toronto Area. I have been working as an independent insurance broker for 5 years now.
As a first-generation immigrant, I know firsthand that learning the rules in Canada from scratch is time-consuming and labour-intensive. Especially when arranging insurance, you'll find that you understand every single word, but when they're put together, it just doesn't make sense. Relying on what friends say or what you read online often leads to many misunderstandings.
Fully understanding your needs and providing one-on-one analysis, explanation, and product selection in plain language can make insurance easy and worry-free — and it gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
